Instructors
Oxford City Kendo Club was founded in 2003 by Senseis Soon Seouk Oh and Richard Kupce, founding member and Club Captain. At the start of 2005 when Soon Seouk took up an academic post in Germany, Senseis Chang Lee and Jaeyong Lim jointly took over the helm as Dojo Leader and later in the autumn of that year when Chang left to continue his studies in Brighton, Jae diligently continued sole-handedly. Sadly in the autumn of 2006 Jae, following the completion of his studies in Oxford, returned to the real world to apply for permanent posts in South Korea. Following Jae's departure, Michio Wise and Yukihiro Kohira have recently joined us. Welcome Mich and Hiro!
Sensei Michio Wise (Yondan) is our principal instructor and has competed for Great Britain team at a European / International level
